Bra company thrives with help of eBay

News - Fortwayne,USA

Howell received a cheery holiday greeting from eBay as part of a breakfast-in-bed appreciation program for 100 top sellers across the country. He was served a continental breakfast on a tray and received an eBay apron, slippers and a copy of the Free Press.

With the breakfast, eBay hopes to call attention to the people who are trying to make it through the holidays often single-handedly running their small businesses.
About 724,000 Americans make all or most of their living selling goods on eBay, according to market research firm A.C. Nielsen. The top-selling categories include cars, clothing, accessories, consumer electronics, computers, books, movies, music, home and garden, sports and collectibles.

"Even my sister says, `He knows more than any man should' about bras," Howell said. His online auction business was an outgrowth of stores he once ran.

But now, Howell, who specializes in the hard-to-find larger bra sizes, sells in 20 different countries.
